What it’s about: In Jericho, in the West Bank, a modular hospital is being built step by step. The first phase is two operating rooms with a recovery area, developed together with the local doctors. They are ready for use within a few days and built to last for many years. With your donation, you lay the foundation.
A hospital needs more than good doctors. It needs clean, safe rooms, clean air and technology you can rely on. In the West Bank, none of that can be taken for granted.
That is why we are building a modular hospital in Jericho. It is assembled from individual building blocks, tailored exactly to the needs on the ground. Area by area, it can grow with what the people of Jericho need.

It starts with the operating rooms. The request came directly from Jericho: the medical team urgently needs safe rooms for surgery. Together we have planned a surgical wing where patients can be treated safely and staff can work well.
The first phase includes:
A modern ventilation system provides the clean air an operating room needs. The hospital team is also trained in maintenance, so the help in Jericho stays effective in the long term.
A conventional hospital build in a crisis region often takes years, and the costs are hard to plan. Our modules are prefabricated in Europe, delivered as a space-saving kit and assembled on site. They can be connected to existing buildings or run on their own. Once the design of a phase is finalised, its price is fixed. Every donation is therefore firmly allocated.
Barakah Charity is active in the West Bank and works with experienced partners on permits and logistics, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO). We know how demanding work in this region is and what it takes for help to actually arrive.
Worldwide, we support people in need in more than 60 countries: with emergency relief in crisis areas and with projects that strengthen communities for the long term.
A hospital made of prefabricated building blocks. Each area, such as the operating room, ward or laboratory, is its own module. This lets the hospital grow step by step and cover exactly what is needed on the ground.
For the first phase of the hospital in Jericho: two operating rooms with a recovery area, a reception and rooms for sterilisation and storage.
Once all permits are in place, the modules are set up and ready for use within a few days, much faster than a conventional new build.
They are built for long-term operation, not as a stopgap. The local team is trained in maintenance so the hospital can be used reliably for many years.
Yes. You will receive a donation confirmation that you can use for your tax return.
With the first two operating rooms begins a hospital that will care for the people of Jericho for many years. Every donation brings it a step closer.
